Joining Redeemed
Do you like what you've read on our site so far? Are you interested in joining Redeemed? You've come to the right place. There is a lot of information on this page, but it's important that you understand what Redeemed is about when you join. We encourage you to read this information carefully. However, if you already understand how membership in Redeemed works and are ready to proceed to the membership form, click here. Please remember that you are welcome to participate in the community before your membership is approved, and indeed, we need to see that you are going to participate before we approve your membership. You can play games, post on the message board, or hang out in the chat room; we simply wish to see that you are alive and willing to participate. If you only fill out the form but never participate, your form will probably never be noticed. We strongly suggest that you post a welcome message on the Welcome Board in the forums, since nearly all the most active members regularly check it.

The next thing you need to understand is that there are three levels of membership within Redeemed. Each membership level has different expectations and privileges. It's up to you which level you would like to join, based on your own level of involvement and activity. The three levels are as follows:

Level I: Casual member
This level of membership is for people who want to be a part of the Redeemed community or want to be associated with Redeemed, but are members of other gaming clans or otherwise do not want to play games on behalf of Redeemed. There are no restrictions on membership at this level, except for the basic requirements of Christianity. Level I members are welcome to participate in Redeemed's gaming activities, although they will be given a low priority in situations where participation is limited (due to server constraints, for example). They are also not eligible for leadership roles in Redeemed.

Level II: Gaming member
Level II members are those who join Redeemed as a gaming clan. As such, they are eligible for all of our gaming activities and are given preferred treatment in competitions and Redeemed-sponsored events. They are eligible for gaming-related leadership positions, such as being in charge of arranging clan matches or being entrusted with server passwords. They are also eligible for skill-based rankings within Redeemed. Since Level II members represent the community in gaming, they are expected to not be in other gaming clans for games they play in Redeemed and to remain loyal to Redeemed in the gaming community.

Level III: Redeemed leadership
Level III members are the leadership of Redeemed. They are eligible for all high-level leadership roles and may be entrusted with important aspects of Redeemed's administration. The Level III membership is also given serious input into the decision-making process, and all major decisions are submitted to the Level III members for discussion and comment before being implemented. Because Level III members are responsible for the direction and upkeep of the clan, and are seen as representative of the principles of Redeemed, they are expected to be of the highest character and loyalty. They must be committed to furthering Redeemed's goals and vision, and must commit to never abandon Redeemed in favor of another gaming clan. In order to join this level of membership, members must ensure that they understand and accept this commitment.

When you first join Redeemed, you may choose Level I or Level II membership. In general, if you wish to join Redeemed as a gaming clan, you will want to join Level II. If you wish to join only for the community and fellowship, you will want to join Level I. Level III membership is available only through direct contact with the leadership; if you are interested in leadership, you will want to spend time participating in the community and getting to know the membership first.

We consider membership in Redeemed to be a badge of honor; it's our way of saying that we believe you are a decent person and upstanding Christian. Therefore, acceptance is not automatic. We encourage you to participate in the community before you are accepted so you can get to know us, and we can get to know you. We also ask that you complete a short recruiting form that allows us to get a feel for your beliefs as a Christian and collect basic contact information. Don't feel pressured to get all the "correct" answers on this form. It is not a test where you pass or fail or are graded. You will have plenty of opportunity to discuss it with the Redeemed leadership, and we will encourage you however we can. If we are not comfortable with your answers, we will discuss them with you personally and try to reach an understanding. Our primary goal is to ensure the safety of our members and maintain a Christian environment; if you are a Christian you should have absolutely no trouble.

With all that said, the recruiting form can be found here. Once you complete the form, feel free to participate in the community. You will receive an email with further instructions once you are accepted.
